Need trailer rental? Choose a Hapert

Do you temporarily need extra loading space? Do you need to transport a machine to a job, move materials or use a strong trailer for a project? Then trailer rental can be a smart solution.

At Hapert Trailers, you do not rent a trailer directly from us. However, we do have an extensive network of official Hapert dealers. Various dealers offer trailer rental in addition to sales, maintenance and service.

This means that, even for temporary use, you can choose the strength, stability and reliability of a Hapert.

Rent a Hapert trailer for your job

Not every job immediately requires you to buy your own trailer. Perhaps you need a larger platform trailer for one day, temporarily need to transport a machine, or require extra transport capacity for a project. In that case, renting is a practical solution.

Through various Hapert dealers, you can rent a trailer for example for:

  • construction and DIY materials;
  • green waste, soil and other materials;
  • machines and equipment;
  • cars and other vehicles;
  • pallets and building materials;
  • tools and equipment;
  • goods that need to be transported dry and enclosed.

Which Hapert models are actually available for trailer rental differs per dealer. Always check the current rental range in advance.

Why rent a Hapert trailer?

When you rent a trailer, you mainly want it to do exactly what it needs to do. Especially when you use it for work.

Hapert develops trailers for intensive professional use. Our trailers are built for strength, stability and years of reliable transport.

Built for professional use

Hapert trailers have a fully welded and self-supporting chassis. This provides a strong foundation for work where you need to be able to rely on your equipment.

Secure your load safely

Depending on the model, Hapert trailers offer practical options for securing your load properly. Especially with machines, building materials or other heavy loads, this is far from unnecessary.

For light and heavy transport jobs

From an open box trailer to a heavy-duty machine transporter: the Hapert range goes up to a permitted maximum mass of 3,500 kg. This means there is a suitable transport solution for many different jobs.

Developed for daily use

A rental trailer is often used by different users and for various types of work. That makes strong construction, practical ease of use and reliability especially important.

That is exactly what Hapert is built for.

Which trailer do you want to rent?

The right trailer mainly depends on what you want to transport. The Hapert range includes various types of trailers. The actual trailer rental range differs per dealer.

Rent an open trailer or open box trailer

For garden waste, building materials, tools, furniture and all kinds of loose goods, an open box trailer is a practical solution.

The Hapert Azure is available in various dimensions and weight classes and is suitable for a wide range of transport jobs.

Useful for:
moving house, renovation, garden waste, material transport and general jobs.

Rent a platform trailer

Do you need to transport pallets, long materials or loads that you want to load easily from several sides? Then a platform trailer is an interesting option.

Because the wheels are positioned under the load floor, you can use the load floor efficiently and load easily from the side.

Useful for:
building materials, pallets, scaffolding materials, timber and professional material transport.

Rent a tipper

Transporting sand, soil, green waste, stones or other loose material and unloading quickly? Then a tipper can save a lot of time and manual work.

The Hapert Cobalt has been developed for work where strong loading and efficient unloading are important.

Useful for:
landscaping, groundwork, construction, renovation and site maintenance.

Rent a machine transporter

Need to transport a mini excavator, vibrating plate, aerial work platform or another machine? Then you need a trailer that has been specifically developed for heavy equipment.

The Hapert Indigo offers various solutions for professional machine transport.

Useful for:
earthmoving machines, construction machinery, landscaping machines and other equipment.

Rent a car transporter

Do you temporarily need to transport a car or another vehicle? Then a car transporter may be the right choice.

Within the Indigo series, Hapert offers various solutions for vehicle transport, including tilting versions.

Useful for:
cars, commercial vehicles and professional vehicle transport.

Rent an enclosed trailer

Do you want to transport your load dry, protected and enclosed? Then an enclosed trailer is an interesting option.

The Hapert Sapphire combines an enclosed loading space with the robust foundation you expect from Hapert.

Useful for:
tools, equipment, furniture, event materials and valuable or weather-sensitive goods.

Which trailer do I need?

Size is not the only important factor. Before you choose trailer rental, also consider:

What do you want to transport?
A pallet of building materials requires a different trailer than a mini excavator or a load of garden waste.

How heavy is your load?
Check the trailer’s payload and prevent overloading.

What is your car allowed to tow?
On the registration certificate and via the RDW, you can check the maximum braked and unbraked towing capacity of your vehicle.

Which driving licence do you have?
The required driving licence depends, among other things, on the permitted maximum mass of your car and trailer.

How do you want to load and unload?
Think about a low load floor, loading options, a tipper or the ability to load from several sides.

Are you not sure exactly which version you need? A Hapert dealer can help you determine which trailer suits your vehicle, load and work.

Which driving licence do you need for a rental trailer?

With a category B driving licence, you may tow a trailer with a permitted maximum mass of up to 750 kg. A heavier trailer may also be towed with category B, as long as the permitted maximum mass of the car and trailer together does not exceed 3,500 kg.

With B+ / code 96, the combination may have a permitted maximum mass of up to 4,250 kg.

With a BE driving licence, in most cases you may tow a trailer with a permitted maximum mass of up to 3,500 kg.

Always also check how much your car is actually allowed to tow. The driving licence determines what you are allowed to drive; the towing capacity of the car determines what the car is technically allowed to tow.

Rent or buy a trailer?

Do you only need a trailer occasionally? Then renting can be a practical choice. You use the trailer when you need it and do not have to store or maintain it yourself afterwards.

Do you regularly use a trailer for your work? Then it becomes interesting to compare renting with buying.

With your own trailer:

  • it is available whenever you need it;
  • you can choose a version that exactly matches your work;
  • you can add options and accessories that are important for your job;
  • you do not have to reserve and collect a rental trailer every time.

At a Hapert dealer, you can therefore not only ask about trailer rental, but also receive advice about buying your own trailer.

Start by renting and notice that you need it more and more often? Then configure your own Hapert.

Where can I rent a Hapert trailer?

Use the dealer locator to find a dealer near you and ask about the current rental range.

Frequently asked questions about trailer rental

Can I rent a trailer directly from Hapert?

No. Hapert Trailers is a trailer manufacturer and does not rent directly to end users. Several official Hapert dealers do offer trailers for rent. You can use our dealer locator to find a dealer near you.

You can do this at various Hapert dealers in the Netherlands. Not every dealer offers trailer rental and the available range differs per location. Always check the dealer’s offer in advance.

The rental price differs per dealer, trailer type, weight class and rental period. A light open trailer, for example, has a different rate than a machine transporter or heavy tipper. Contact the rental dealer for the current rental price.

At many rental companies, you can rent a trailer for a day or part of a day. The available rental periods are determined by each dealer individually.

Several trailer rental companies offer machine transporters. Ask a Hapert dealer about the availability of a Hapert Indigo or a comparable suitable transporter.

That depends on the dealer’s offer. A tipper is especially useful if you want to transport sand, soil, green waste, stones or other loose material and unload quickly.

Many rental companies have enclosed trailers in their range. These are suitable when you want to transport goods dry and protected. Ask the Hapert dealer which enclosed models are available.

The maximum towing capacity of your car is stated on the registration certificate and can also be checked via the RDW registration check. When renting, pay attention to both the weight of the trailer and the load you want to carry.

Not always. With a category B driving licence, you may tow a trailer with a permitted maximum mass of up to 750 kg. If the trailer is heavier, this is also allowed with category B as long as the permitted maximum mass of the car and trailer together does not exceed 3,500 kg. For heavier combinations, B+ or BE may be required.

Yes. Trailer rental is particularly practical when you need extra transport capacity for a temporary assignment. Ask the dealer about business rental options and available professional versions.

Whether the exact same model is available for rent differs per dealer. Renting can be a good way to gain experience with a certain type of trailer. If you then use it regularly, a dealer can help you configure your own Hapert.
