Unfortunately, we are receiving more and more reports of phishing emails that appear to have been sent by Hapert Trailers.
Check here whether the message you have received is already known to us.
Is the email listed in the overview? Delete the message immediately and do not open any links or attachments. Is the email not listed, or do you still have doubts about its authenticity? Forward it to your regular Hapert account manager or to our info email address.

Phishing emails are becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish from genuine messages. An email may contain our name, logo or the name of an employee and still not have been sent by Hapert.
1. Stop
Do not click on links, open attachments or enter any details as long as you have doubts about the authenticity of the message.
2. Check
Search below for the subject, sender or other details of the email you have received.
3. Report
Can’t find the message? Forward the email to your account manager or to our info email address.
- RECOGNISE THE SIGNS
How do you recognise a possible phishing email?
A phishing email can look professional and may use our name, visual identity, logos or employee names. That is why you should always check several parts of the message.
1. Check the full email address
Do not only look at the visible sender name. Open the sender details and check the full email address, including the part after the @ symbol. Watch out for unusual letters, numbers, hyphens or unknown domain names.
2. Watch out for unexpected requests
Be extra alert if you are unexpectedly asked to: - Pay an invoice urgently - Use a changed bank account number - Reset your password - Enter personal or company details - Open an unknown file - Log in via a link in the email
3. Do not let yourself be pressured
Phishing emails often try to create urgency. For example, by stating that an account will be blocked, an order will be cancelled or a payment must be made today. When in doubt, always contact us directly first.
4. Check links without clicking on them
Move your mouse over a link to view the actual web address. Do not click if the address is different, unclear or does not appear to belong to Hapert. When in doubt, use Hapert’s known website or contact details yourself. Do not use the contact details shown in the suspicious email.
5. Be careful with attachments
Do not open unexpected files, even if the file name looks like an invoice, quotation, order or packing slip.
6. Do not rely only on language and design
Phishing emails do not always contain spelling mistakes. Even a correctly written message with the right logo can be fake. Not sure? Stop and contact us.
Have you opened a link or entered details?
Close the website and do not enter any further details.
Have you entered a password? Change this password immediately. Do you also use the same password for other accounts? Change it there as well.
Have you opened or downloaded a file? Contact your own IT administrator and have the device checked.
Have you entered payment details or made a payment? Contact your bank immediately.
Also report the incident to your Hapert account manager or via our info email address.

The emails often come from “Hapert employees” who do not exist. They also almost always relate to outstanding invoices. Our emails always come from the email addresses already known to you.
Is your email not listed?
That does not automatically mean the email is trustworthy. It may be a new phishing email that has not yet been reported to us.
Forward the message to us so that we can check it and warn other dealers and customers if necessary.
Hapert dealer?
Forward the suspicious email to your regular Hapert account manager.
Hapert customer?
Forward the email to our info email address.
Preferably send the original email as an attachment. This preserves the technical details of the message and helps us investigate the sender more effectively.
Only delete the suspicious email after you have forwarded it.

Is every email that is not listed in the overview trustworthy?
No. It may be a new phishing email that has not yet been reported to us. When in doubt, always forward the message to us.
Can a phishing email use the real Hapert logo?
Yes. Images, logos, names and text can be copied. A professional appearance is therefore not proof that a message is genuine.
Can the name of a real Hapert employee be used?
Yes. Criminals can use publicly available names and contact details to make a message appear more credible.
What is the best way to forward a suspicious email?
Preferably forward the original email as an attachment. If that is not possible, forward the email in the usual way. You may also add a screenshot.
Will I always receive a personal reply after reporting an email?
We assess every report. If additional information is needed or if the message may be genuine, we will contact you.
Can I delete the email if it is already known?
Yes. If the subject, sender and other details match a known report, you can delete the email. Do not open any links or attachments and do not reply to the message.
What should I do if I am still unsure?
Contact your account manager directly or contact Hapert using the contact details on our website.
