What driver's license do you need with a tandem axle?
With a B license, you may drive a trailer of up to 750 kg (empty weight + payload) or a trailer of more than 750 kg, as long as the total weight of the car and trailer together does not exceed 3,500 kg. HAPERT tandem axle trailers have a minimum gross loading capacity of 2000 kg and can be expanded to up to 3500 kg. This means that in most cases you need a B+ or a BE driver’s license to drive a tandem trailer.
