In general, electric cars can still tow less than cars with a combustion engine. According to ev-database.org, the average towing capacity is around 1,000 kg. However, there are now models that can handle significantly more, such as the BMW iX and the Kia EV9, both of which may tow up to 2,500 kg.
A trailer does, however, cause a considerable reduction in driving range. That is why the members of H-Lab are thinking about a trailer that actually gives you a helping hand.

Our goal is to save fuel with our trailers. We do this by researching the different factors that influence consumption and resistance.
Many new products are smart nowadays. That is why we are developing a smart trailer that can tell you, for example, the total load weight or its current location.
