Can you tow this combination? Check before setting off.
The Indigo HTA has a gross trailer weight of 2,700 or 3,000 kg. The driving licence required depends on local rules and your vehicle combination. Your towing vehicle must also be approved to tow the combined weight of the trailer and the vehicle being carried.
Check your vehicle documents for the braked towing capacity, and add the trailer’s unladen weight to the weight of the vehicle being transported. If in doubt, ask your Hapert dealer to help check your combination.

01
Clear answers about the Indigo HTA-2, payload, loading angle, options and service.
What is a tilting car transporter trailer?
A tilting car transporter trailer has a tilting load bed for transporting cars and other vehicles. Its low loading angle makes loading and unloading safe, quick and controlled.
When should you choose a tilting car transporter trailer?
When you regularly transport vehicles and want to load quickly without separate ramps. Ideal for garages, vehicle dealers, transport operators and hire companies.
What are the benefits of a tilting car transporter trailer?
The main benefit is the low loading angle: just 7 to 8.5° on the Indigo HTA. This makes loading easier, including low cars. Loading and unloading also require fewer steps, helping you work more efficiently.
How does it differ from the Indigo HF car transporter trailer?
The Indigo HF has a fixed load bed with ramps and a winch. The Indigo HTA has a rearward-tilting bed, HAR steel wheel tracks and 140 cm ramps. Its lower loading angle makes it easier to load low cars.
Which Indigo HTA versions are available?
The Indigo HTA-2 has a tandem axle and a 450 × 210 cm bed. Choose 2,700 or 3,000 kg gross trailer weight and 10" or 13" wheels. Payload ranges from 1,911 to 2,220 kg. All dimensions and weights are listed under versions.
How much does an Indigo tilting car transporter trailer cost?
The Indigo HTA-2 starts at € 5.24026752 excl. VAT, excluding delivery preparation and registration fees. Price depends on weight category, wheel size and equipment. Configure your trailer and ask a Hapert dealer for the current price and lead time.
Is a tilting car transporter trailer suitable for professional use?
Yes, the Indigo HTA is built for intensive professional use. Strong steel wheel tracks, 18 TÜV-certified 1,000 kg lashing points, a hot-dip galvanised chassis and VDI 2700 testing make it ready for everyday vehicle transport.
What should you check when buying a tilting car transporter trailer?
Check payload, loading angle, tilting mechanism, load bed, axle configuration and your towing vehicle’s capacity. Choose a trailer suited to your vehicles, work and daily use.
Can you add options to a tilting car transporter trailer?
Yes. Equip the Indigo HTA with a winch, wheel restraint kit, LED rear lights, shock absorbers, side skirts, a plywood centre floor, spare wheel and storage box. See all options.
How does the chassis warranty work?
Hapert offers a 10-year chassis warranty after registration, plus 1 additional year of manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the applicable registration, maintenance and warranty conditions. Visit the warranty page for the conditions and registration.
02
Three topics to help you choose the right Indigo tilting car transporter trailer.
Choose the weight category for the heaviest vehicle you carry. Then choose 10" wheels for the lowest loading angle, or 13" wheels.
Payload is the gross trailer weight minus the trailer’s unladen weight.
How to calculate payload
Gross trailer weight − unladen weight = payload
Options such as a winch or spare wheel add to the unladen weight.
Check that the trailer, towing vehicle and your driving licence suit the transport job.
What do you carry most often? Cars and vans that you want to load quickly at a low angle? Choose the Indigo HTA. Mainly carrying machinery, mini excavators or equipment? See the Indigo HT tilting transporter trailer. View the tilting transporter trailer →
