PRIVACY STATEMENT
Collection and use of personal data from customers, suppliers and other contractors Wagenbouw HAPERT B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:
– To be able to contact you and provide you with the information you requested
– Be able to validate your warranty certificate during the validity period.
Please note that we will collect and use the personal data you provide to us because it is necessary to conclude and perform any agreement with you. This applies both to our (potential) customers and to parties from whom we purchase business and/or services.
If you are a (potential) customer of ours, we use your data to be able to send you a quotation, to be able to determine what specifications or wishes a certain item or service should meet, to be able to deliver goods or perform work for you, to be able to invoice you and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about the execution aspects of the agreement.
If you are a (potential) supplier or other contractor, your personal data are also necessary for the conclusion and execution of the agreement. In procurement, this is necessary to let you know what specifications or requirements a particular item or service should meet as far as we are concerned, to be able to send you a request for a quotation or place an order with you, to be able to pay your invoices and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about other aspects of the agreement.
You are not required to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with any or sufficient personal data, we may not be able to carry out the aforementioned activities.
If you are a customer of ours, we will use your information to contact you for purposes that are in the best interest of our business. Think for example of discussing a possible cooperation, providing and obtaining information and maintaining our network.
You are not required to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with any or sufficient personal data, we may not be able to fulfill the aforementioned purposes. Your data will be deleted one year after the last contact.
Transfer to third parties
In connection with the performance of any agreement with you, we may need to provide your personal data to parties that supply us with parts, materials and products or perform work on our behalf. We also use external server space to store (parts of) our contact file. If you are a customer of ours, your personal data is part of this. Your personal data is provided to our server space provider for this reason. Furthermore, we use Microsoft Office and its storage options for emails and other files. Finally, because we use a newsletter mailing service, your personal information is transferred to the provider of this service.
Wagenbouw HAPERT B.V. does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we enter into a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Wagenbouw HAPERT B.V. remains responsible for this processing.
Direct marketing
If you order from us regularly, we will retain and use the personal data you provide in order to personally inform you by e-mail of our existing and new products and services in the future, and possibly make you an offer for these. We have a legitimate interest in using your personal data for this purpose, which is to market our products and services. Every time we send you an advertising mailing, you have the option of letting us know that you no longer wish to receive it. To do so, see the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each mailing.
If you are a one-time customer with us, we will send you advertising messages only if you have given us your prior consent.
Retention period of personal data
If you requested a quote from us but did not become a customer with us, we will delete your data no later than one year after our last contact. Even if we have received an offer from you, but we have not become a customer of yours, your personal data will be deleted no later than one year after our last contact. If you did become a customer with us or we became a customer with you, we will retain your personal data for seven years after the end of the fiscal year in which the agreement with you was fully executed. The seven-year period corresponds to the period during which we are required to keep our records for tax purposes. At the end of this period, we will delete your personal data. Wagenbouw HAPERT B.V. does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following categories of personal data:
– Personal data entered after a request in the HAPERT Configurator > 1 year > To be able to contact you and provide you with the information you requested.
– Personal data completed after a trailer registration > 3 years > To be able to validate your warranty certificate during the validity period.
Special and/or sensitive personal data we processOur website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years of age. Unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at info@hapert.com and we will remove this information.
Automated decision-making
Wagenbouw HAPERT B.V. does not make automated decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without any human being (for example, an employee of Wagenbouw HAPERT B.V.) being involved.
