Sustainability
Hapert Trailers is aware of its social responsibility and wants to make its products increasingly sustainable. This is only possible by taking full responsibility for the entire product chain of which Hapert Trailers is part: from the raw materials used to the moment the trailer disappears from the road.
With aluminium from Hydro, we choose a material with a lower carbon footprint and material properties that are suitable for more sustainable production and consumption. Aluminium is lightweight, which reduces energy use and greenhouse gas emissions when using the trailer. Aluminium is 100% renewable, and recycling it requires only 5% of the energy needed to produce the metal for the first time.
The composite floor is produced locally, can be recycled endlessly and has resulted in a significant weight reduction for the trailer. In addition, a composite floor lasts much longer than a wooden floor. Calculated over its total service life, alongside all the advantages already mentioned, the composite floor is also the most cost-effective option.
There are also several simple repair options for the composite floor. But when the floor does eventually reach the end of its life cycle, it can be fully processed and reused for various applications.

Quality
We produce sustainable, high-quality trailers
At Hapert, we use a welding robot. The major advantage of robotic welding is the high quality and precision of the welding work. The welding robot accurately repeats the same movement every time. As a result, every weld has the same high quality and this quality is repeated accurately on every trailer we produce.
Thanks to smart technology, there is a specific program for every chassis. The Hapert welding robot uses a weld seam detection system or weld seam tracking system. This allows the welding robot to continue following the weld seam. The weld seam therefore remains of consistent quality, even when there are small deviations between individual products. This technology in particular has contributed significantly to improving quality.

Fully galvanised
Fully welded steel upper and lower chassis, fully galvanised.
By fully galvanising Hapert trailers, a thin layer of metal is applied to help prevent corrosion. This delays the weathering process as much as possible, extending the service life of the Hapert trailer.
A major advantage of galvanising is that there is no deformation, because the bath only reaches 30 to 70 °C. This temperature is too low to deform iron. The thickness of the applied layer can be determined quite precisely and ranges from 5 to 40 micrometres. This is relatively thin, and post-processing to remove any small burrs created during the bonding process is usually not necessary.
Production
At Hapert, we have 3 production lines
Our production line, also known as an assembly line or factory line, is the organised assembly path used to manufacture a Hapert trailer. The trailers are moved from one station to the next on a specially developed assembly trolley until the wheels are fitted. At each station in the production process, a production employee adds a component to the final product, performs a quality check or carries out another task that is essential to completing the manufacturing process.
Because our production lines have become increasingly streamlined over the years, we can produce more trailers with fewer labour hours. This has resulted in lower prices and higher quality for our trailers.
