Hapert Trailers supports the Tour du ALS

The progressive muscle disease ALS is one of the most severe disorders of the nervous system

No patient survives the diagnosis. As long as there is no cure, if-patients are denied any perspective. Finding a cure for if should therefore be the priority. This requires money, lots of money. On Thursday, June 8, 2023, during the 11th edition of tour du als, many hundreds of cyclists, runners and walkers will climb the mont ventoux in france to pedal like the world.

HAPERT Trailers supports the Tour du ALS. This we do not ale by means of a financial donation only, Ad Saris rides with Team Harrie this edition. This team was created in honor of Harrie Coppens. Harrie Coppens, born in 1948, has cycled some 500,000 kilometers through 38 countries in the past 35 years! From Japan to the Himalayas in Nepal, Harry has biked everywhere. Unfortunately, an athletic lifestyle does not mean you cannot get ALS.

Since Harry was diagnosed with ALS, he has deteriorated rapidly, making it virtually impossible for him to ride a bike. Because Harrie has always been active in the cycling world and is a member of 2 cycling clubs, Harries adventure got a lot of exposure. Meanwhile, Team Harrie has 12 team members including our Ad Saris.

Team Harrie has already raised more than EUR 20,000. With this money, the ALS Nederland Foundation funds scientific research into the cause and treatment of ALS and the related diseases PSMA and PLS. A portion of the proceeds also benefit improving the quality of care for patients and their loved ones.

Support our heroes with a donation, because only together will we kick ALS out of the world!
